There is no doubt this has been the worst season ever since manager Arsene Wenger took charge of the helms of affairs 21 years ago.
Arsenal legend Frank McLintock has revealed it is time for the Frenchman to go.
He revealed this to Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast McLintock said he has nothing but admiration for the job the Frenchman has done over the past 20 years but that a change of manager must happen for the good of the club.
“I do generally feel as though it is time for a change but I feel guilty saying it because he has been so good,” said McLintock, who spent nine years at Arsenal and captained the north London club.
But McLintock disagrees: “I look at that team and they are nowhere near winning the Premier League.
“They are really miles behind and if they get into the Europa League they might find it difficult to get top players again.”
The Frenchman is yet to sign a contract extension at Arsenal and has also failed to reveal if he will be remain having gone 13 years without winning the Premier League.
