Arsenal have reportedly informed Serie A outfit Sampdoria they can have midfielder Jack Wilshere for as little as £9 million this summer.
Sky Sports News’ Kaveh Solhekol noted on Friday that the Italian team enquired about Wilshere’s availability, and they could have his services for the seven-figure sum:
The England international is fighting to be fit for the new season after his Bournemouth loan ended with a broken fibula.
Wilshere, 25, suffered yet another setback as the Cherries took on Tottenham as a hairline fracture ended his season.
He made 29 Premier League appearances last season—27 of which were for the Cherries.
Wilshere impressed Cherries manager Eddie Howe while on loan at the Vitality Stadium, although the former Burnley boss conceded in May that his side may struggle to keep him for longer, per BBC Sport:
“I think it’s going to be really difficult for us. We wish him well for the future. When we signed him on loan, and I have said this many times, the plan was for him to stay for a season and then to go back to Arsenal to evaluate his future.”
