Arsene Wenger is not only finding it difficult to bolster his squad in this transfer window, the French tactician is yet to have a breakthrough in his quest to tie down the future of some of the key players to the club’s.

England international and Arsenal attacker Alex Oxlade Chamberlain is willing to sign Arsenal contract but on the condition that he’s offered a £120,000-a-week deal in wages, reports Daily Star.

Chamberlain like Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez is in the final year of his current contract with the Gunners but he has stalled over a new deal. However, he has made his demand and the report claims he wants  £120k-per-week to remain at Arsenal.

Chamberlain was the most improved player for Arsenal last season as he was deployed in various position for the Gunners and he impressed in all of them. His strides for Arsenal did not go unnoticed last term, Liverpool and Chelsea seem impressed with his show-offs and they are heavily linked with a move for him.

Arsene Wenger has never hidden his admiration for Chamberlain and the Gunners were preparing to offer him £100k-a-week deal which he reportedly accepted before changing his mind to reject the deal.

Arsenal currently have a chunk of their players on the exit list of the Club but Arsene Wenger is poised to retain his key players within the fold.

Wenger recently heaped praises on Chamberlain.

“Personally, I think he is a hugely talented player,” said Wenger.

“He is on the way up and he will continue to move up because that potential is there.

“He is today very conscious of his qualities as well, which he was not always, and I personally believe he will be a very great player.”
