Liverpool and Arsenal are ready to battle for the signature of Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Vasquez, according to reports emanating from the Spanish media.

With the transfer market closing next week, both Jurgen Klopp and Arsene Wenger are making efforts to bring in more players.

Wenger has made only two acquisitions, with Stead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazatte the Gunners boss new intakes so far, while Klopp has seen Mohammed Salah, Andy Robertson and Dominic Solanke moving to Anfield.

It is reported that the Chilean international- whose contract with Arsenal expires at the end of this season- could join either PSG or Manchester City this summer.
