John Percy of the Telegraph is now reporting that the Baggies have agreed a fee with Arsenal to sign Kieran Gibbs and medicals is likely to be later today.
The clubs have agreed a fee in the region of £7m for the 27-year-old, who had also been in talks with Watford and Turkish side Galatasaray.
Gibbs has made 230 appearances for Arsenal since coming through the academy, making his debut in 2006. He made just 11 appearances last season, many of which came from the bench. West Brom have until deadline day on Thursday to complete the deal.
He joins Jay Rodriguez, Oliver Burke, Gareth Barry and Ahmed Hegazi as the latest senior signing to arrive at the Hawthorns.
Gibbs had held talks with Watford, who also agreed a fee, but the salary has been an issue for the Hertfordshire club.
