Angry Arsenal fans are planning an anti-Arsene Wenger protest is being planned ahead of Arsenal’s upcoming Premier League game at Chelsea.
Protests were the norm towards the end of last season, with marches often taking place outside the Emirates while planes were flown over away grounds dragging banners featuring slogans about the under-fire boss.
Supporters have refrained from anything similar so far in the opening weeks of the current campaign, but back to back defeats at Stoke and Liverpool – combined with a disappointing end to the transfer window – appear to have stirred the hornets nest once again.
And so the protests will return during the televised game at Stamford Bridge in a couple of weeks time according to pictures doing the rounds on social media.
Hundreds of large fake £50 notes have been printed off bearing a picture of Wenger along with the slogan ‘bank of bulls**t’.
One fan – clearly looking forward to brandishing the notes in the away end for the world to see – posted a picture on Twitter while proclaiming ‘roll on Chelsea away’.
