Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has revealed he has no regrets turning down a move to Arsenal last two summers.
Speaking to SkySport about potentially missing out on a 2016/17 FA cup medal he dismissed the achievement as not strong enough to convince him he has made an error.
He said: “It wasn’t the Premier League was it?”
The England striker also said he predicted Arsenal’s downfall was close under Arsene Wenger that they have failed to qualify for the Champions League.
Saying he has no regrets, Vardy said: “I’ll never regret anything I’ve chosen to do. I’m a bit of a psychic, I could see the little downfall they are on now.
“They had qualified for the Champions League for the last 20 years until last year. That was something to think about.
“But there were all sorts of reasons. Football was the main thing, but moving the family when I’d just bought a house would have been a laugh – not.”
Vardy was under a lot of pressure not to break up a successful Leicester bond having been linked with a move to Arsenal.
