Genoa striker Pietro Pellegri reduced his father to tears by setting Serie A record with a double against Lazio.
Reports claims Pellegri agent is in London to discuss a possible move for his client ahead of the January transfer window.
According to Secolo XIX, Wenger is keen to bring Pellegri to the Chelsea.
The youngster is already six-foot-three and his physical development suggests he may be ready to deal with the rigours of English top-flight action.
But Pellegri may prove hard to prise away from his boyhood club.
The player is a lifelong fan of his club, with his father once declaring: “The day Pietro steps out at Marassi wearing a Genoa shirt I can go ahead and die, because it will mean that I have seen everything.”
He made his debut for the Grifone away at Torino in December 2016, aged just 15 years and 280 days.
But it was the final day of last season that he shot to prominence by gatecrashing Francesco Totti’s Roma farewell party.
Pellegri became the youngest-ever Serie A scorer when he netted in the game on his first professional start.
