Mesut Ozil has sent an encouraging message to Arsenal fans as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.
Arsene Wenger said that inflammation of the knee kept the German international out of Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
After having missed the Gunners’ Carabao Cup win in midweek over Doncaster Rovers at the Emirates Stadium – some began to fear that the injury may well be worse than was first expected.
However, Wenger confirmed in his press conference yesterday that Ozil would return to training within 24 hours and will be in the squad for the West Brom game.
And now, Ozil himself has allayed any fears that Gunners fans might have with an encouraging message via his Instagram account.
