Chelsea defender David Luiz intended to hurt Arsenal left-back Sead Kolasinac last week.
That is according to pundit and former Arsenal striker Charlie Nicholas.
Luiz was given a straight red card for a lunging tackle on Bosnian Kolasinac in the 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Luiz was smiling after the incident which Nicholas says shows arrogance.
Nicholas also says it was as bad as the tackle from Watford defender Miguel Britos earlier this season, which saw him get sent off against Brighton.
“That’s arrogance, that’s sheer and utter arrogance,” he said on Sky Sports of the Chelsea star.
“Even when he got sent off he had so much arrogance.
“We touched on the lad at Watford, and that’s as bad. That is as bad because the intent is there to harm, he’s leaving his studs.
“The lad at Watford lunges in so probably it’s worse, it looks worse.
“But that one, he knows exactly how he wants to leave his studs in.
“He’s leaving them in for a reason because he wants to hurt him.
“Just because you’re at a bigger club and you’re a bigger name, it doesn’t mean that you’re arrogance is dismissed.
“I thought it was absolutely disgraceful.”
