Arsenal are a club that have an eye for top-notch and quality footballers, which is why they have attempted to sign the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Lion Messi, N’golo Kante, and Antoine Greizmann among many other stars in the past.
Former Arsenal player Ray Parlour has revealed that England international and Tottenham striker Harry Kane is on the transfer wishlist of Arsenal, this is according to report.
Kane has assumed the position of the best striker in the Premier League for the last two season after winning the golden boots award. He has continued in the same stead this season, leading the goalscorers chart with eight goals in the Premier League.
The 24-year-old striker has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for some time now but the Santiago Bernabeu outfit are yet to match their intention with an offer for him.
Arsene Wenger bolstered the squad of the Gunners with the signing of Alexandre Lacazette in the summer but Parlour reckons that Kane would nick a place in the first team of Arsenal ahead of anybody.
“Would Harry Kane get into the Arsenal team? Well, that’s a little bit of a silly question, of course he would,” he told AskFans.
“Harry Kane is one of the best strikers now around Europe, I think a lot of clubs would love someone like Harry Kane.
“He’s been brilliant for Spurs over the last few seasons, he does it week in, week out.
“It’s not just about his goalscoring abilities but his all-around play is getting better and better.
“He brings the midfield in to play and I really admire him because he’s worked really hard to get where he’s got to, with going out on loan.
“I remember talking to Harry Redknapp and him saying he works so hard in training every single day.
“Credit to Harry, let’s hope he can really do well for England, I can’t say Spurs because they’re our rivals.
“But he’s a player a lot of people admire and I’m certainly one of those people who do that.”
Arsenal are not in the Champions league while Tottenham are in it. The Gunners are also in the sixth position on the league table while Tottenham are in third and as it is, the Lilywhites are a better side than Arsenal. Kane would prefer a move to a bigger and better club than Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will play Tottenham immediately after the international break.
