According to reports, Arsenal have been handed a massive boost in signing Manchester United unwanted star Luke Shaw for £20million after telling defender he is not needed at Old Trafford.
Left-back has failed to impress boss Jose Mourinho and the club are now seeking to recoup some of the £30m they paid for him in 2014
However, Arsenal will lock horns with Fenerbahce who are interested in a loan move for Shaw, 22, but The Times are reporting that United will seek a permanent switch in the New Year.
United are said to be keen to find a buyer and hope that his age, and the fact he was one of the most promising defenders when he joined, will see offers come in.
The report goes on to claim the club activated a clause to extend the former Southampton star’s contract to 2019 to increase the fee they would get for him.
Shaw is also reportedly not interested in a loan switch to Turkey and would prefer to stay in England with Arsenal most likely his next destination.
