Arsenal are set to land ‘out of favor’ Sevilla midfielder Steven N’zonzi, in January.
According to El Gol Digital, Arsenal and Sevilla have agreed to the deal which will bring Steven N’Zonzi to the Emirates Stadium for £35million.
It was reported last month that the midfielder was in England to discuss his future with Arsenal. The discussion seems productive as Arsenal are ready to buy the player from Sevilla for £35million which includes £2.6m in bonuses.
It was understood that Steven hasn’t been featuring for Sevilla as a result of his disagreement with the club’s management.
Arsenal fans are tipping the France international midfielder to be a good signing for Arsene Wenger as they believe the player can be as good as Emmanuel Petit or Patrick Vieira.
However, it is not understood why Wenger decided to look for an extra midfielder with the plethora of middle men in the Gunners team. The Frenchman needs forwards who can win games for the North London team. At east, that is the opinion of most Gunners, especially with the imminent departure of 30-goal Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez.
The Gunners are still in the race to sign Monaco youngster Thomas Lamar. However, it is unknown if the Frenchman will be willing to join the Gunners since Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United are now in the race for his signature. January promises lots of transfer surprises.
