Jack Wilshere is set to sign a new Arsenal contract after strings of brilliant displays. Rejuvenated Jack Wilshere believes he will be given a new contract offer by the North London club in the coming weeks, reports skysports.

The England international who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth assured the Gunners faithfuls that the club are considering to extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium. According to him, he has spoken to Arsene Wenger about his desire to remain with the club, but the Frenchman promised to get back to him before the end of the year.

“I spoke to the boss and he said he will speak to me,” Wilshere said.

The Daily Mirror reported last month that the Englishman could leave the North London club as a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the season if he won’t be regularly used by Arsene Wenger.

It’s now a changed story for the 25-year-old England midfielder, he hasn’t only started five consecutive matches for Arsenal but has been phenomenal in Arsenal’s midfield department during the five matches.

Crystal Palace, West Brom and Real Betis who are all with the motive of luring the player to their clubs will start looking elsewhere for reinforcement.

Jack Wilshere will be hoping that his current form has done enough to convince England National team coach Gareth Southgate that he deserves a place in England’s World Cup squad. The midfielder believes he is fitter and sharper than before, he believes he is on his way back to his best form.
