Fans favourite Jack Wilshere has given an update in regards to his contract extension after midweek’s game against Chelsea.
The England international has admitted there has been no progress in talks with Arsenal about extending his contract.
The playmaker scored his first Premier League goal since 2015 in the Gunners’ 2-2 draw with Chelsea last night.
Wilshere’s left-footed effort flew past Thibaut Courtois and went in off the post.
Another solid display has seen his odds of making England’s World Cup squad cut to below even money.
But the midfielder is out of contract with Arsenal in the summer and can speak to foreign clubs this month.
“No progress there,” Wilshere said when quizzed on how contract talks were progressing.
“I want to be going to Russia but now is not the time to be thinking about that.
“We’ve got to take each game as it comes, keep playing in this time, keep improving and we’ll see what comes in March for the next international games.”
