Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger is currently in the ongoing transfer market for Alexis Sanchez replacement. The Chilean striker’s contract with the North London club expires in the summer and the French manager is expected to cash-in on him so as to avoid losing him as a free agent to Manchester City.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Wenger is set to break Arsenal’s transfer record in order to get the Gabonese proven scorer from Borussia Dortmund.

Wenger has made Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang one of his major targets for Sanchez position should the striker depart for Manchester City who might add him to their squad in January or in the summer transfer window.

Aubameyang has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and Liverpool, but the Gabonese striker refused to confirm his interest to join the Los Blancos or the Reds in January while reacting to the rumour.

Another transfer rumour also has it that the Borussia Dortmund’s striker could be on his way to Madrid’s neighbors Atletico Madrid.

While reacting to the rumor over his move to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, Aubameyang told reporters that there could be possibility of working with Diego Simeone before the end of the season.

According to him, Antoine Griezmann’s stay or departure will influence his decision whether to join the Los Rojiblancos or to remain at the Westfalenstadion. Though he’s yet to make a final decision over his future, he believes anything can happen in football.

Arsenal came from a goal down to savage a point against Chelsea as the match ended 2-2 in yesterday’s electrifying match. Despite the draw, Arsenal remain in the sixth position, two points behind Tottenham Hotspur.
