Fleetwood Town have reportedly turned down an offer from Wolverhampton Wanderers for England Under-17s World Cup winner Billy Crellin.
The likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Everton are believed to be suitors of keeper Crellin and Wolves have tried to steal a race on them by submitting an offer for the skilful 17-year-old, according to Football Insider.
The Championship table-toppers see Crellin as a rising star in the making and one for the future and they were hoping to lure the player to Molineux, it is claimed.
But, League One Fleetwood are believed to have rejected the offer for Crellin who only secured a new contract to extend his stay at Highbury until 2020 at the end of last month.
The young goalkeeper was on the bench when Steve Cooper’s young England team became world champions by beating Spain 5-2 in India the last term.
