Despite the January transfer window only just closing its doors, there are still rumours swirling as to who Arsenal might bring in over the summer.
Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign Max Meyer as the Schalke midfielder looks to be winding down his last few months with the Bundesliga club.
The 22-year-old is out of contract in the summer and, despite the German side understandably desperately trying to keep hold of their young talent, they cannot deny the rumours surrounding his future.
Schalke CEO Christian Heidel recently said: “Max will be deciding shortly if he wants to stay at Schalke past the summer.
“Max is very happy here, Schalke is his home, we will try to make it him as comfortable financially as possible.
“He is playing the best season of his life, and the coach has found a position for him that Max didn’t believe he could play.
“Personally, I didn’t think he could either.”
The Sun claim that Wenger is already working hard to convince the 22-year-old to move to the Emirates Stadium, where his international teammate Mesut Ozil already plays.
