Monaco head coach Leonardo Jardim has reportedly emerged as a target for the Arsenal manager’s post should Arsene Wenger leave in the summer.

Wenger’s future at the Emirates Stadium has once again been called into question following Sunday’s 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City in the EFL Cup final.

Jardim, meanwhile, is believed to be seeking a new challenge after four seasons at Monaco, which have yielded a Ligue 1 title and a run to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

According to The Independent, the Portuguese coach was on Arsenal’s radar last term until Wenger penned a new deal at the North London club.

The report goes on to claim that, with the Gunners eager to review their managerial situation at the end of a disappointing season, Jardim’s name has emerged as a candidate again.

Arsenal currently sit sixth in the Premier League table, while Monaco are second in the French top flight.
