Arsene Wenger will finally leave Arsenal this summer and the next Gunners boss will want to keep hold of Alexandre Lacazette.
Those are the thoughts of ESPN FC pundit and former West Ham goalkeeper Shaka Hislop.
Wenger is under severe pressure once again from Arsenal supporters after yet another season of disappointment on the pitch.
Arsenal are set to miss out on the Premier League top four for the second successive campaign so have to rely on winning the Europa League in order to gain Champions League qualification.
Lacazette was signed by Wenger last summer for a then club-record fee of £52.7million but the French striker has struggled during his time at the Emirates so far.
He has netted just nine times in his 29 appearances in all competitions for the club.
The £60million signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund in January threw Lacazette’s future at Arsenal in doubt.
But Hislop says a new manager will want to see the pair up front together.
“I’m going to put this down as a miss,” Hislop said.
“I think Arsene Wenger, this is his last season at Arsenal.
“I think whoever comes in would like too figure out Lacazette, Aubameyang (playing together).”
Lacazette has missed the last five weeks with a knee injury.
He is set to return after the international break.
