Arsenal are reportedly still chasing the services of Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and are believed to have already made a €40million offer for the attacker, according to stories in Span, as translated by Sport Witness.
Both Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are believed to be interested in the footballer. However, Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo are keen to keep hold of the Frenchman.
It is understood, however, that Florentino Perez would be willing to offload Benzema and would be open to accepting a reported offer of €60million made by Dortmund for his signature.
The Frenchman himself would reportedly only want to leave Real Madrid if it was to join a Premier League side.
The Gunners have long been reported interested in bringing Benzema to the Premier League, with the player’s agent believed to be ‘well aware’ of the interest from the club in his footballer.
The 30-year-old has struggled for form this campaign, so far netting just five La Liga goals.
