Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger will be allowed to add another world class striker in the January transfer window if he so wishes according to reports from daily mirror. Mirror are reporting the Arsenal board have told Wenger he will be supported to bolster his squad in the January transfer window should he choose to invest more money on signing a world class striker.
In the just concluded transfer window, Arsenal tried but failed to land a world class striker. The club was linked to signing Rooney, Jovetic, Higuain and Luiz Suarez but they ended up with only the signature of Yaya Sanogo on a free transfer from French Second division side Auxerre.
Although Wenger acquired the service of German and Real Madrid’s Mesut Ozil in a 42.2 million pound deal, Arsenal faithfuls still believe that in order for the club to do well in the UEFA champion’s league and also the premier league more world class players are expected to be signed by the club.
Arsenal Faithfuls were impressed with the signing of the new players, and they believe that Arsenal will be one of the top teams to win the EPL title.
If the reports from daily mirror are true, it will not be surprising if we see Wenger going back to try to sign either Rooney or Luiz Suarez.
