United made another check on Arsenal’s £37million target in Schalke’s 2-1 win in Augsburg on Friday night.

Manchester United are reportedly keen on landing Julian Draxler as United made another check on Arsenal’s £37million target in Schalke’s 2-1 win in Augsburg on Friday night.

Midfielder Draxler, 20, gave an eye-catching performance to underline his exciting potential. He made one of Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar’s two match-winning goals. And Draxler also had a goal disallowed in Schalke’s victory. United boss David Moyes has identified Germany as the place to recruit midfield talent. (Daily Star)

Arsenal are already beginning to plan for the summer transfer window. After having series of attempt to lure the youngster to the Emirates turned down by Schalke in the january transfer window, it is likely that Wenger would continue his pursuit for the talented youngster and build-up on talks of a move to Arsenal from where he left off due to the closure of the Winter tranfer window.

Arsene Wenger admitted during the mid-season window that Arsenal needed offensive reinforcements, but failed to lure a
forward – making the injured midfielder Kim Kallstrom his solitary addition. And the Gunners’ summer activity will be affected by the outcome of Bacary Sagna’s contract wrangle.

The Frenchman will leave the club as a free agent in the summer if he fails to sign a new deal, forcing the Arsenal boss to enter the market for a full-back. Sagna’s replacement could come at a cost, but the arrival of club record signing Mesut Ozil in August proved the club have loosened their purse-strings since paying off their stadium debt and could be willing to spend the necessary funds.

All this simply goes to show that Arsenal would have a busy summer transfer window, and it would be nice also to see Wenger begin negotiation for players early in the summer transfer window so as to have enough time to lure players such as Draxler to the Emirates. although the Arsenal board has assured fans of being capable financially of signing big names to the club
during the coming Summer transfer window.

It would be exciting to see this Schalke youngstar making a switch to the Emirates as well as other Arsenal Prime targets to join the likes of Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Santi Carzola who are all doing a great job in the Arsenal midfield.
