Dortmund Star Likely To Replace Sagna Upon Exit- Reports

With Arsenal preparing for the possibility of life after Bacary Sagna should the defender decide to leave the Emirates in the summer, Borussia Dortmund defender Lukasz Piszczek is said to be on the cards to replace the Frenchman.

31-year-old Sagna who has spent 7 years with Arsenal after joining from Auxerre in 2007 has spent most of the best days of his Career at Arsenal providing cover at the right full back of the Arsenal defense and sometimes even coming in as a make-shift center back when needed. The Frenchman has undoubtedly been one of Arsenal’s most consistent players over the years.

Although Arsene Wenger hopes to persuade his fellow compatriot Sagna to sign a new contract but if the deal falls through and the experienced right-back decides to leave, then he is ready to move for Piszczek. However Wenger still hopes Sagna will Pen down a new contract with Arsenal, but reveals that he is planning for life after him, with Dortmund ace Piszczek now a top target.

With Club giants and money bags  PSG, Real Madrid and Inter Milan all looking at the situation in other to swoop the experienced full back, promising bumper deals in other to lure the Frenchman away from North London. It is not certain that Arsenal will retain him after the player himself wanting a bumper deal from the Arsenal board.

However Arsenal have made signing 28-year-old Borussia Dortmund defender Lukasz Piszczek their priority if Bacary Sagna leaves at the end of the season.

The Gunners are currently in negotiations with Sagna over a contract extension, with his current deal set to expire in the summer. And despite talks initially progressing well, the full-back has since spoken to other clubs, and Arsenal are worried he may be tempted by bigger money offers elsewhere.

Arsene Wenger however still hopes Sagna will sign up to the future, but he is planning for life if the player leaves, with Dortmund ace Piszczek now an option should Sagna Exit the Emirates.
