Chelsea Star Taunts Arsenal As Tension Rises Ahead Of Saturday Clash

Chelsea vs Arsenal 2013

Following Chelsea’s league defeat to Aston Villa last weekend, several football pundits have somewhat shifted predictions over Chelsea’s chances of winning the league.

In what has been a fiercely contested Premiere league challenge so far this season, one would likely expect any of the current top 4 teams in the league to win the title this season with Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester city all in it.

Chelsea being current league leaders with 66 points having played 30 games, are seconded by Liverpool with 62 points and Arsenal in third position with 62 points with both having a game at hand while Manchester City comes in fourth position with 60 points although having 3 games at hand. With a very tight situation like this it can be said that the league title can fall into any of these top four teams with the most consistent performance.

Now as Chelsea welcome Arsenal in this weekend’s crucial tie at the Stanford Brigde, tensions are rising with Chelsea forward Eden Hazard insisting that his team will try their best to make amends for the loss to Aston Villa last weekend by winning against Arsenal at the Bridge on Saturday.

Even though the loss against Aston Villa last weekend was a huge blow for the team as well as their fans, Hazard feels that they have enough experience to turn things around in their favor.

the 23-year-old told his club’s official site. “The game against Arsenal comes at an important moment because it follows a league defeat”,

“We are going to do our best in front of our own supporters in what is a big derby game. There is no better one to win.”

Although Chelsea picked up some morale over the week having defeated Galatasaray in their Champions League Round of 16 tie against the Turkish side on Tuesday, winning the match 2-0 and thus sealing the tie with a 3-1 aggregate score.

Hazard also commented about their Champions league tie against Galatasaray; “The Champions League and the Premier League are both magnificent competitions.

“The Champions League is rare because you play less often, but the Premier League is so important to us and we know how important it is for the fans too”.

With the young Belgian Bagging 13 goals in 30 premier league appearances and also providing his team with 7 assists so far this season, It is likely that this young Belgian along with his Chelsea team mates will put up a good fight against a visiting Arsenal side come Saturday in a match that may as well decide both teams title hopes.
