There has been some reports which have revealed Joel Campbell is desperate for an opportunity to shine at Arsenal.
The Costa Rican midfielder who signed a five-year deal with Arsenal from Deportivo Saprissa in 2011 after rejecting offers from Sevilla and Fiorentina failed to obtain a work permit to enable him to play in England.
The young midfielder has spent the last three seasons out on loan at Loriant in France, Real Betis in Spain and Greek Champions Olympiacos after arriving at the Emirates Stadium in 2011 from Saprissa.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder, who can also operate as a striker, will return to Arsenal at the end of the season and is desperate for a chance to prove he is ready for the first team.
He said: “I’ve always been ready, I need them to give me the opportunity, which is what I’m working towards”.
“I think I’ve matured a lot, personally and as a player,” Campbell explained. “I’m no longer the same Campbell, but I feel very happy with my growth,” added Campbell. (SportsDirectNews)
The talented midfielder who scored 7 goals for Greek Champions Olympiacos most notably, when he scored the second goal in Olympiakos’ 1st leg Round of 16 clash with Manchester United in February this year. picking up also over 6 assists for the Greet side.
Joel Campbell now returning to Arsenal at the end of the season bringing with him some kind of experience is desperate to get his chance at Arsenal after waiting long to obtain a work permit in England before being eligible to play for the gunners.
Would this young lad get his chance or would Arsenal once again ship him off on loan to another club? only time would tell.
