Sagna Exit Imminent Despite Arsenal New Offer As Turkish Club Step Up Pursuit


The Daily Mail reports that talks where held with Representatives of Sagna while the Turkish champions were in London this week for their Champions League fixture with Chelsea.

Sagna’s Representatives, has held further talks with Galatasaray regarding a lucrative summer move to Turkey. Gala chiefs were in London this week for their Champions League clash against Chelsea and the Turks used the opportunity to meet Sagna’s representatives.

Also Club giants and money bags PSG, Real Madrid and Inter Milan are all looking at the situation in other to swoop the experienced full back, promising bumper deals in other to lure the Frenchman away from North London. It is not certain that Arsenal will retain him after the player himself wanting a bumper deal from the Arsenal board.

Sagna has now turned down two new contract offers from Arsenal with the latest being a two year deal with an option of a third. But will hold one more round of talks with the Gunners soon.

Although Arsenal are already searching for a replacement in case the contract dispute isn’t resolved, with Lukasz Piszczek of Borusia Dortmund and 18-year-old Sebastien Locigno, of Belgian club Gent, the latest right back on their radar.

31-year-old Sagna who has spent 7 years with Arsenal after joining from Auxerre in 2007 has spent most of the best days of his Career at Arsenal appearing 273 times and providing cover at the right full back of the Arsenal defense and sometimes even coming in as a make-shift center back when needed. The Frenchman has undoubtedly been one of Arsenal’s most consistent players over the years.

Arsene Wenger however still hopes Sagna will sign up to the future at Arsenal with Ivan Gazidis and Dick Law planning a third round of talks with Sanga’s representatives in order to finally convince them that the Frenchman should see out his career with the Gunners.
