Eight Games To Go & So Many Points To Play For- Rosicky Upbeat About Title Hopes

tomasArsenal face Swansea City tonight at the Emirates and would be looking to put aside last weekends defeat away to Chelsea after conceding 6 goals at Stamford Bridge.

Following Arsenal’s win against Tottenham Hotspur and the massive loss against Chelsea, the gunners now face consecutive home games against Swansea City [tonight] and title rivals Manchester City in the weekend.

Goal scorer for the gunners in the game against Spurs Tomas Rosicky is confident that Arsenal with bounce back from defeat and respond in tonights game also saying that he knows from personal experience that the title race is not over.

“This is a big slap in the face but there are still eight games to go and so many points still to play for,” he said.
“When I played in Germany for Borussia Dortmund and we won the title there, in the season that we won it we were five points behind first place with four games to go and we still managed to win it. Everything is possible but the most important thing at the moment is to bounce back straight away.

“If you see in the past almost every time we had a negative result we always had a good reaction up until now. We have the experience of turning a negative into a positive very quickly. I’m expecting the same thing to happen on Tuesday.”

Wenger described Saturday’s game as “a nightmare” and Rosicky agrees.

“The boss is absolutely right with what he is saying,” he said. “I think in the first half the way we played was like a suicide, and the first two goals we conceded were almost like own goals.

“Every time we lost the ball in the middle of the park there was a quick counter and a goal. We were the ones who had the first chance so maybe it could have been different but the two mistakes for the first two goals – in games like that everyone will punish you.

“It’s not the first some we’ve done it this year so that’s the disappointing part. But I’m very confident that we can turn it around again and we have two big games at home now.”
