Shocking: Wenger Blame Chelsea For Swansea Result!

Arsene-Wenger-001Arsenal last night threw away a 2-1 lead at home against Swansea City after having come from behind to take the lead in a match that all but relinquish the title hopes of the gunners.

Wenger who has been deeply concerned over Arsenal’s failure to perform in big games was left to swallow his words on Tuesday night after his team let a 2-1 lead slip to Swansea with only 2 minutes to full time whistle.

The gunners on Tuesday night took on the Swans who are currently placed 15th on the premier league table. Prior to the match, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger had promised a strong response to the game following the 6-0 humiliation by Chelsea last weekend.
The match took off with Arsenal conceding first in the 11th minute, but the gunners responded in the second half of the encounter scoring 2 goals in less than 2 minutes. However an on goal from Mathieu Flamini on the 90 minute caused the gunners 2 valuable points.

After the match, Wenger spoke to the media and in his statement, the Frenchman blamed Chelsea for the draw to Swansea at the Emirates. He said when asked on Saturday’s result affecting the players…

“It affects us a lot because it’s of course a big disappointment. But we want to go back to focus on the next game and this result tonight hurts us a lot”.

“Sometimes when you lose big like we did at Chelsea, the next game most of the time you get a draw. The way it happened of course is more frustrating because we were 2-1 up with two minutes to go and at home we have been quite solid but I think we made a mistake on the second goal and it was not needed”.

We have continuously received excuses over poor and terrible performances this season with some of them being totally unacceptable. The gunners could have held on to the lead against the Swans had they kept themselves together and this has caused us 2 valuable points further denting the already slipped-away title hopes this season. They simply started the match poorly, picked up momentum midway through and then ended the match poorly as well.
