Drmic scored a brace against Stuttgart last week and another over the weekend to take his tally for the season to 16 in just 27 matches so far for the German club, Just one goals short from Bayern Munich striker Mario Manduzkic at the top of the Bundesliga goal scoring charts.

Reports in Germany had claimed that Arsenal had already moved to secure a deal and Lothar Matthaus, working as a pundit for Sky Deutschland, claimed that the player’s wife was already looking for houses in London.

But Drmic has reacted to the speculation and he told Bild: “At the moment I am single and there is no one house hunting in London.”

Although the youngster didn’t rule out the possibility of finding himself at the Emirates saying..“What will happen in the future, I don’t know. Any boy dreams about playing for Arsenal.”

With the club sporting director admitting that their young forward had been heavily scouted in recent weeks and that a move away from the club would be likely.

“It would be naive to believe that Josip has not been noticed by anyone and I can not guarantee that he will remain,” admitted Nurnberg sporting director Martin Bader.

Rumours abound that Wenger will go for the 6ft 2in man and this might be due to the young forward’s performances, pointing out Wenger’s love for young talents encouraging them and giving them a fair chance to prove themselves on the big stage.
