Diaby has been sidelined for over a year now with a cruciate knee injury and since his return a few weeks ago Arsene Wenger has since played down talks about when the midfielder will feature again for the gunners.

Diaby who has always been one the fans favourite at the middle of the park with his impressive ball possesions and passing skills has been so far missed by the team as well as the fans and a return to action by the Frenchman for the gunners since over a year would prove vital for both the club and the player.

The midfielder was pictured jogging behind Aaron Ramsey, while Mesut Ozil is also seen in the centre.

Diaby’s return has been rumoured for a few weeks now, but Arsene Wenger revealed last week that this was his first scheduled date to return, as he steps up his comeback from a cruciate knee injury.

Ozil has been out since early March with a hamstring problem, and could even be fit to return to the bench ahead of West Ham clash, Wenger revealed.

Ramsey himself, Wenger also revealed suffered a slight muscle injury against Wigan, but it was not enough to keep him out of training.

Key defender Laurent Koscielny were also back in training yesterday along with Tomas Rosicky, and both are in contention to feature against the Hammers.
