Arsenal Plotting Move For £17Million Rated Star.

marco verratiMarco Verratti’s Agent Plays Down Talks Of a £17 Million move To Arsenal- Agent of PSG midfielder.

Donato Di Camplihas has played down talks linking the highly rated 21 year old player with a move to the Emirates, who also need to shore up their midfield.

The 21 year old highly rated Italian has recently been linked with a move to the Gunners, for a fee said to be worth £17 Million. The Gunners were said to be interested in the signature of the 21 year old in order to shore up their midfield; seeing the Italian as the man that perfectly fits the description.

However, Di Campli has dismissed the reports, feigning ignorance of such move.

“I am not aware of any interest. Marco is happy at PSG,” said Di Campli.

Though, the club has money to spend in the summer, running after a player whose signature might be difficult to get if what his agent said is true, is a waste of time. Arsenal do need a player of his calibre, but this could be a waste of time specially as his agent has come out to deny it.

PSG are rumoured to be interested in signing French youngster, Paul Pogba; and his signature could restrict Verratti to the bench. The club has also been linked with the signing of Lars Bender off Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen; a player rated highly by Wenger for his box to box ability. Reports were rife last summer that Arsenal had a bid of £18.5 Million turned down by the German club for the signature of the German international.

As the league gradually draws to a close in the next few weeks, more players are expected to be linked with the club.
Hopefully, the club can conclude its transfer business before pre-season this summer in order to start the coming season on a high.

However, this is not the first time an agent is coming out to deny or declare the availability of a player; so I won’t be surprised if the player eventually moves in the summer, especially if the French club succeeds in their bid to sign Paul Pogba from Italian Giant, Juventus.
