Arsenal In Final Talks For German Star As Gunners Prepare For Life Without Sagna. – Reports

Eintracht Frankfurt v Borussia Moenchengladbach - BundesligaArsenal are closing in on a summer deal for Eintracht Frankfurt defender Sebastian Jung, according to the player’s agent.

According to reports in Germany, the Gunners are working on a £7million move for the full-back, and his agent has confirmed a switch to north London is on the cards.

Arsenal are on the lookout for a new right-back, with current full back Bacary Sagna exit imminent and although the club has been linked with several players recently it seems the gunners have now made serious contacts with this young German.

Although The 23-year-old is yet to win an international cap with the German national team, but has been included in his nation’s squad in the past. The 5ft 10in man is seen as one of Bundesliga’s best young full-backs, and has been attracting attention from Arsene Wenger for a while.

With Bacary Sagna looking likely to leave the Emirates Stadium when his contract expires at the end of the season, the Frenchman is already gearing up to find a replacement. with Feyenoord’s Daryl Janmaat also said to be a top target for Wenger.

Jung’s agent Mino Grillo is quoted by The Metro

“In England we know Arsenal are very strongly on his trail for the summer,”

“They have had scouts watching him in the Bundesliga. There is was interest in the past from Inter, Roma and Milan, but no recent contact.”

With the 23-year-old’s agent confirming talks with Arsenal concerning a switch to the Emirates, and a £7m deal reportedly being offered for the young fullback, one would likely believe that a deal is close to being tied up once the coming transfer window opens.

Jung has been capped at U-21 international level, and is being tipped by some to break into the senior squad in the future.

However the gunners have also strongly been linked with the likes of Lukasz Piszczek, Daryl Janmaat and Matthias Ginter with a move for Ginter being cut short after Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund snapped up the player from SC Freiburg ahead of time.
