Arsenal take on 15th placed West Bromwich Albion this weekend in our last home game of the season and Arsene Wenger has given updates as to the teams current state.

The Arsenal boss revealed some good and bad news as to the injury situation of a few of his players, but also hinted on their speedy recovery back to fitness. As regards his currently fit squad, the Frenchman said that the same side that saw off Newcastle on Monday this week are ready and available for Sundays coming clash at home against West Brom.

A win on Sunday for the gunners would see them secure the coveted fourth position leaving the gunners in sole position for Champions league football next term.

Wenger told Arsenal player that…

On changes to the team from Monday night…
At the moment no, the same group of players should be available for Sunday. It’s our last home game and you want everybody available and finish with a win.

There where some positive news on Gibbs with the defender back in fitness training following a hamstring injury. Although he’s not taking part in full training just yet so Sunday’s game will come too soon, but it looks like he should be available to face Norwich on the final day.

On Kieran Gibbs…

“Gibbs will be a bit short for Sunday. The good news is that he’s back in fitness training but he is not back in the full training group yet. “

Wenger also gave an update on the Ox’s recovery, saying the 20-year-old is not yet ready to return – with Chamberlain still receiving treatment on his groin injury.

On Oxlade-Chamberlain…

“Alex is in treatment at the moment and not in training. It’s very difficult to give you a time-scale on him at the moment.”

The boss also revealed that Jack isn’t in contention despite returning to training following a foot injury. But there is a possibility that he might be available for the FA Cup final against Hull City.

On Jack Wilshere…                                                                                                                   “Jack is not ready yet.”  He is not far away. But close to full training.”
