Arsenal are currently in the best position to end their 9-year wait for a silverware and Arsenal star believes he could fire in a few more goals before the end of the season.
The Welshman came back into the side after a four-month lay-off at the beginning of last month and has produced impressive displays in the wins over West Ham, Hull City and Newcastle.
The 23-year-old whose return to action has seen him pick up his 5th man of the match award of the season after the player had put up a world class performance for Arsenal against Hull City. Where the midfield ace opened up the scoring with a scintillating effort before setting up fellow teammate Lukas Podolski for a brace, ending the match 3-0.
Ramsey’s comeback has coincided with Arsenal’s return to form in the Premier League and the midfielder is keen to add to his goal tally before the season is over.
“I’ve felt good since I came back,” he told the official matchday programme.
“It was really frustrating being out, missing so many games and it took longer getting back to fitness than I’d have liked. But it’s great to be back.
“It was really pleasing for me [to score] up at Hull. Hopefully I can get one or two more before the end of the season.”
“Our target was to win every game and get fourth and we’re closer to doing that now,” he said. “With Everton dropping points against Southampton it was important for us to get the win and we managed to do that.
“Getting into the Champions League is really important – that’s where us players want to be, testing ourselves against the best.”
Ramsey’s return to action has not just seen an Arsenal side return to form, it has also brought back the confidence at once saw the Arsenal side as likely title winners earlier this season.
