Arsenal could lose another Key player to bitter rivals Chelsea as Mourinho looks towards the Emirates to pick one of Arsenal’s unsettled star.
Arsenal are facing another Ashely Cole scenario and could lose key defender Bacary Sagna over £20,000-a-week difference of opinion when it comes to his wage demands.
The 31-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and looks set to leave the Gunners on a free transfer with Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Galatasaray and Inter Milan all interested in his services.
Chelsea also are reportedly set to join the race to sign Bacary Sagna.
The Daily Star report the south London club are interested in signing the Frenchman on a free transfer when his contract with Arsenal expires at the end of June.
The veteran defender has been offered a three-year deal by Arsenal worth £80.000 a week. but the Frenchman is holding out for a £100,000 a week.
Arsenal’s long-serving right-back who joined the North London club from Auxerre in 2007 could play his last game at Wembley before leaving in the summer after making 284 appearances.
It was notible on Sunday that Bacary Sagna asked club photographers Stuart MacFarlane and David Price to snap him and his children on the Emirates pitch.
The departure of Sagna would be a huge blow. The Gunners lost Ashley Cole to Chelsea in a very similar scenario in 2006 after offering him £5,000-a-week less than the £60,000-a-week he wanted.
