According to the Daily Mirror, Jack Wilshere wants to prove his fitness for this summer’s World Cup.
Wilshere is hoping to play in Arsenal’s final Premier League game at Norwich on Sunday after being out for two months with a broken foot.
The Arsenal star has been running out of time in his battle to be ready to make the plane for Brazil this summer, but is confident he can convince England manager Roy Hodgson, that he is properly healed.
The 22-year-old last played for Arsenal on March 1, and was injured four days later in an England friendly against Denmark at Wembley.
A challenge by Liverpool’s Daniel Agger broke a bone in Wilshere’s foot. and this has put him out of action now for two months.
The midfielder – though back from injury was not risked for the bench against West Brom on Sunday but is expecting to do a week’s full training to be ready to start at Norwich.
His chances however, has been boosted by the fact that Arsenal have already got fourth place tied down and this may tempt Arsene Wenger to give him a place in his squad for our final game away at Norwich.
Although England manager Hodgson, has already said in interviews given last week that Wilshere is part of his 23 man squad to Brazil, even if he doesn’t play another game this season.
