AFC Team News: Ox & Vermaelen Doubts, Tigers Can RUIN Arsenal Party.

Arsene Wenger’s Men take on Hull City this weekend at Wembley in the FA Cup final in a bid to end the long haul of trophy drought at Arsenal.

Following the press conference held this morning at the London Colney centre, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger gave updates on his team and current situations at the club. And amongst those talked about was players in-doubt for the final clash this weekend

With around 72 hours left till the FA Cup showdown at Wembley, Wenger had earlier today revealed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Thomas Vermaelen are the only doubts for Arsenal ahead of this Saturday’s FA Cup final.

The midfielder will train with the rest of the first team squad today and more will be known about his fitness tomorrow.

Meanwhile the Gunners captain is struggling with a knee injury.

When asked about players expected to be available for the match against the Tigers Wenger said:

“Everybody should be available from Norwich. Still some uncertainty about Chamberlain & Vermaelen (knee).”

With the Gunners having raised their game towards the close of the season with a fine run of form filled with lots of goals after a somewhat “off period” they had encountered midway into the second half of the season. Although much of the poor display was due to the absence of key players to injury.

However, we now not only have our key players back, but the team has gone on to regain the harmony and confidence level that once saw them topped the premier league table for a massive 128 days of the league season.

The Gunners would be hoping to carry on this level of confidence as they go into the match at Wembley against the Tigers in a bid to end the long wait for a silverware.

Although Arsenal fan and well wishers have warned the team against over confidence as they go into the match, as Steve Bruce’s men, having gotten this far in the competition can as-well spoil the party by stunning the gunners with a win come Saturday.
