The transfer saga surrounding veteran Arsenal right back – Bacary Sagna continues with recent reports claiming that the 31-year-old is yet to pen a deal with Premier league champions; Manchester City as earlier believed.
Sagna has given Manchester United, Chelsea, Galatasaray, Monaco and PSG hope with the Arsenal defender confirming he hasn’t signed a deal with Manchester City.
The Gunners defender is fast approaching the end of his contract at the Emirates and it has been widely reported he has signed a three-year deal with the Premier League champions which will see him net a massive £150,000-a-week.
But Sagna has put paid to speculation that a deal with City is done during an interview with a French TV station.
“Have I already signed a contract with Manchester City? No, that is not true,” he told Telefoot.
“My situation will be sorted out before the World Cup, but I haven’t signed for anyone so far.
“We all have our own destiny and I will try to find mine.”
Arsenal however, are assessing possible replacements with Southampton’s Nathaniel Clyne recently being added to their shortlist among several others. But sources insists Toulouse and Ivory Coast right back Serge Aurier remain Arsenals’ preferred option in the summer.
