Arsenal Linked With Atletico’s Turan After Agent Earlier Revealed Interest To Work Under Wenger.

Arda Turan’s agent has admitted that Atletico Madrid have a big decision to make with his client, on account of an offer having arrived from an English club; speculation pointing to Manchester United or Arsenal as the most likely party.

The Turkish winger impressed in La Liga this season after joining since 2011, helping Atletico Madrid to break the Barcelona-Real Madrid duopoly and win the title. But sadly missed out on featuring in Atletico Madrid’s Champions League defeat to Real Madrid through injury.

But Turan, due to the number of high profile clubs looking to snap him up may not be around next season to help Diego Simeone’s men defend their domestic crown and mount another tilt at continental success.

“Arda is currently playing at a big club with big ambitions. He wants to be part of that success, but we must wait and see what happens”, Turan’s agent – Ahmet Bulut was quoted as saying by Voetbal Primeur.

“An offer from an English club has arrived”, he continued.

“As in every transfer, two parties, the player and the club, they must make a decision.”

Turan is thought to be wanted at Old Trafford by new Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal, though he has also been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool at regular points over the last year. Although advantage Arsenal can oust the Old Trafford side with an assurance of Champions League football next season.

And Bulut admitted earlier this year saying“He is interested in working under Arsene Wenger and Arda would like to play in England.”

Turan in my own opinion is a decent player in and out of the box and should link-up greatly with Arsenal midfielder’s already on ground, but with the Gunners already linked with a large number of other players both in the English premier league as well as in Europe, it is uncertain which player Wenger will go for, although the boss had recently revealed that he is interested in signing a midfielder this summer.
