Although the summer transfer window is yet to officially open, a lot of clubs have been making close door arrangements and meetings with various representatives of players in other to finalize talks of players signature even before the transfer window kicks open in July.
Reports have emerged claiming that Arsenal are planning a TRIPLE swoop on Southampton this summer.
The Daily Express reported that the Gunners are preparing their summer moves and have identified three Southampton stars as targets.
It is said that Arsene Wenger is keen on adding a dynamic midfielder to his squad with Frenchman Morgan Schneiderlin high on his agenda.
Schneiderlin, who will play for France at the World Cup in Brazil but has hinted that he is ready for a move to a Champions League outfit.
Wenger is also tracking Saints right-back Calum Chambers, with the 19-year-old lined up to provide cover as well as competition for Arsenal’s Carl Jenkinson as veteran Arsenal right-back Bacary Sagna is expected to join Manchester City this summer.
The Emirates scouting staff have watched Chambers with interest this season, but there are doubts about his defending abilities.
Arsenal are also considering Chambers’ club rival Nathaniel Clyne, who has impressed since joining from Crystal Palace two years ago.
However other reports suggests the Gunners’s first choice option expected to fill in the right-back position should Sagna exit the Emirates in the coming weeks remains Toulouse goalscoring defender Serge Aurier.
