Bony? Martinez? Balotelli? Mandzukic? Remy? – Arsenal Star CONFIRMS Wenger’s New Striker Plan.

arsenal trainingArsenal boss – Arsene Wenger has for several months now been in the mix in his search for a new top class striker that will partner his lone Frenchman up front.

Arsenal star Olivier Giroud claims that Arsene Wenger will definitely sign a striker this summer, amidst reports that Real Sociedad star Carlos Vela is on the verge of rejoining the Gunners according to the Express.

The reliable Frenchman, who helped himself to 22 goals last season, carried Arsenal’s attack after finding himself with no real competition for a place up-front, but believes that he will be joined by another top-class hitman for the next campaign.

With Nicklas Bendtner set to leave the Emirates after his contract expired, and youngster Yaya Sanogo still taking time to adapt, Wenger is keen on re-signing Mexico international Vela for a bargain £3.2million thanks to a well-placed buy-back clause.

Sociedad have publicly claim that Vela will be returning to north London despite wanting to stay in Spain, and Giroud talked up a return for the versatile poacher, telling InfoSport+:

“I can tell you Arsenal will add a striker to the team.

“We need another striker. Great clubs have several good striker, who compete with each.

In my own opinion, Giroud talking up Wenger plans to land a top class hitman this summer goes beyond bringing back “an Improved” Vela to the Emirates but his remark could as well signal Wenger plan for other targets that have been heavily linked with a move  down to North London.

Prior to Vela’s speculated return, Wenger had picked up interest in a host of other strikers in the likes of Mario Balotelli, Wilfried Bony, Jackson Martinez, Loic Remy, Mario Mandzukic, Lorenzo Insigne, Karim Benzema and few others in which the Arsenal boss has at one point or the other in recent weeks nursed the idea of signing any of all this players.

I wont, and would imply you reading this not to be surprised if Wenger actually move for any of this above listed forward even after officially capturing Vela back to the Emirates.

I would further like to see Wenger eventually move for the signatures of either Swansea’s Winfired Bony or Porto’s Jackson Martinez as these duo have and will continue to hurt opposition defenders with their power, pace and brilliancy when going forward with their records showing great proof to this claim.
