Arsenal delve into the transfer window seems to be taking several twists and turns with the Gunners being linked with a lot of stars even as the Fifa World Cup is on going in Brazil.
Arsenal have on several occasions moved for the signature of Bayer Leverkusen ‘man of steel’ – Lars Bender but failed in their bid to secure the services of the Germany International.
Now, according to the Express, Bender could be at the centre of an intriguing transfer saga with Arsenal ready to make a new bid of £21m for him.
The Leverkusen midfielder was linked to the Gunners last summer, but they had a £15m bid rejected.
Although Arsene Wenger appears to be well stocked in midfield, he isn’t giving up on Bender. With reports on the continent suggesting that the Gunners are likely to make a new bid in the coming days.
It is thought Leverkusen are under no pressure to sell, However they could let Bender go if the right offer comes in for him.
Moreover, Bender is believed to be keen to leave the Bundesliga in search of new adventures somewhere else with the English Premier league tipped to be top on the list where the midfielder would want to end up.
Although the 25-year-old only signed a new contract with Leverkusen in October, however it is believed that the new bid set to be offered by Arsenal would tempt the Bundesliga outfit into letting go of their star midfielder.
