Arsenal who seem to be interested in virtually everyone available this summer have once again been linked with Croatian-born youngster.
Arsenal and rival neighbors – Tottenham are both in the running for Dinamo Zagreb youngster Tin Jedvaj according to his agent.
The 17-year-old is in demand and has attracted interest from Serie A outfit Roma after an excellent breakthrough season at the Croatian outfit. His form earned him an international re-call, but both Premier League clubs are monitoring him as they both seek defensive reinforcements.
While both north London outfits are yet to firm up their interest, they are both keeping a close eye on him.
“At a certain point, Dinamo raised their demands whilst Roma wouldn’t improve theirs,” Jedvaj told Italian football site calciomercatio.it
“Meanwhile, clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham have called Dinamo and they are dealing with them.
“Would I say Roma are out of the game? In football you never know, anything can still happen.”
With Wenger in need of fresh steel and reinforcement at the heart of his defence following the recent reports suggesting Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen reportedly set to exit the Emirates, is this youngster what we need at Arsenal or is the Gaffer simply preparing for the future of the Arsenal defence line ahead of time?
