Arsenal take on Turkish side Besiktas at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow night in their second leg Champions League play-off tie. After the two side played a goalless draw in Turkey last Tuesday.
Arsenal however, will be boosted by the return and reintegration of their World Cup winning German trio (Mesut Ozil, Lukas Podolski and Per Mertesacker) which will all be available for selection against Slaven Bilic’s Side
Here is my predicted starting line up for Besiktas clash…
Wojciech Szczesny will definitely be in goal for Arsenal against Besiktas.
Mathieu Debuchy: The Frenchman will start for Arsenal against Besiktas as he has had an impressive start to his new Arsenal career so far.
Nacho Monreal: With Kieran Gibbs out with a hamstring problem, Nacho Monreal will once again deputise in defence for Arsenal against Besiktas.
Per Mertesacker: The BFG is another sure bet for the clash at Emirates stadium.
Calum Chambers: The youngster has so far put up an outstanding performance since joining Arsenal and will likely get another shot at the starting line-up after pairing well with Mertesacker against Everton over the weekend and with Laurent Koscienly still having fitness trouble concerns.
Mathiue Flamini: With Arsenal captain and fellow defensive midfielder Mikel Arteta out injured, Flamini will once again feature for the Gunners against Besiktas as he will be looking to improve on his performance after a no-so-good run-out he had against Everton last weekend.
Jack Wilshere: Wilshere will once again feature for the Gunners against Besiktas following the suspension of co-midfield star Aaron Ramsey in the first leg tie in Turkey last week.
Santiago Carzola: Carzola should yet again make another appearance for the Gunners against Besiktas, and he is likely to have a good game with Ozil in the Arsenal midfield as the duo have in the past worked well together in the middle of the park as well as going forward.
Mesut Ozil: The German returned from a victorious World cup outing and has been reintegrated into the Arsenal team. It is expected that the prolific midfielder would start for the Gunners against Besiktas providing the forwards the necessary passes as we go into a game with the option being only a win-win situation.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain: The young lad came from the bench in the first leg and almost gave us the winner with some impressive touches on the ball. Arsenal’s main forward Olivier Giroud is out injured meaning that this young lad may as well get another chance, but this time with more game time to do as much damage as he can on Besiktas. This pacy youngster could pair up with Cazorla and Alexis in front and give Arsenal the win against Besiktas
Alexis Sanchez: Sanchez will start ahead of Podolski in tomorrow’s game as Wenger continues to give his new boy enough game time to get him to top gear in the Arsenal team in no time.
It is Expected that with this line up the Gunners should comfortably cruise to a 3-1 victory (my guess). going by the team’s current burst of confidence upfront, with the return of key player and also coupled with the support from the Home fans. COYG!!!
What are your guesses?
