He’s A Clinical Finisher, Next Home Game’s A Must Win. Arsenal Star Insists.

Arsenal midfield star – Santi Cazorla is delighted to have Danny Welbeck at the club – because the striker brings something different to the Arsenal attack.

The England international has started life in north London in promising fashion, scoring his first goal for the club at Aston Villa last week.

Cazorla has been impressed with Welbeck’s clinical finishing and feels he can thrive at Emirates Stadium.

“Danny is a really different player to the ones we’ve had before at Arsenal,” Cazorla said.

“He’s a clinical finisher, he’s quick and he’s always looking for space.

“Olivier Giroud is another kind of striker. He’s good at headers because he’s tall and strong. Welbeck provides us with something that we didn’t have before and we have to make the most of him and take advantage of having him in the team.”

Arsenal welcome Galatasaray to Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night. Having lost on matchday one of the Champions League, Cazorla admits there is extra pressure to get their European campaign up and running.

“It was a bad game [in Dortmund],” Cazorla said.

“Now we are fully aware that we are almost obliged to win the next Champions League game because there may be problematic times for us [if we don’t] so we’d better win.

“It’s true that Arsenal have a great record when it comes to the group stage. However, all that history doesn’t count now.

“The most important thing for Arsenal right now is to win the next game and that is going to change the scenario completely. Once we go through the group stage it becomes even more difficult to win games.

“Unfortunately for the past two seasons we’ve faced Bayern Munich, the toughest opponent [in the last 16], but I think that if we carry on and work hard we can go far in the competition.”

Carzola who was a second half substitute in the match against Spurs will be looking to register another fine performance when the Gunner’s take on the Turkish club in the midweek as injury have continued to trim down Arsene Wenger’s side so early in the season.
