The UEFA Champions League draw, which just concluded can be seen as one of the best and favorite draws in favor of Arsenal.
The Gooners can be seen as one of the luckiest EPL sides as the likes of Man City and Chelsea are to play Barcelona and PSG respectively
Personally i don’t think it’s going to be an easy ride for Arsenal as Monaco have been on top form after winning four of their last five fixture. hopefully our injury worries will be over by February.
Wenger having 10 men ruled out due to injuries should be happy with the draw and the timing of when the next Champions League match will be played. By then most of his injured players will be back and fit to play.
Arsenal have never faced Monaco in a competitive match, but they do have history.
Wenger was Monaco manager between 1987 and 1994. He won the league title with the club in 1988.
According to Independent, Wenger said at the weekend how he looks back on his time at Monaco fondly.
“I have great memories from my time there,” Wenger said.
“They gave me a chance when I was a very young manager. When I arrived they had never passed the first round in the European Cup; we had good times.”
