Burnley vs Arsenal
Burnley will play host to an in-form visiting Arsenal side in Saturday’s Premier League evening time kick-off.
Arsenal are undoubtedly the most in-form Premier League side in recent weeks, after thrashing bitter rivals Liverpool 4-1 at the Emirates last weekend and will be looking to extend their Premier League winning streak to 8 when they take on Burnley at Turf more latter today.
Wenger and his men after 31 games, are sitting comfortably in second place on the League table with 63 points – a surprisingly similar stat they had at this same stage last term. Except of course, the second position they currently occupy being the only difference.
Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta and Abou Diaby are all available. However, Wenger has suggested Mathieu Debuchy remains short of a “competitive edge”, although Wojciech Szczesny should be back in contention.
Laurent Koscielny will have a scan on his thigh to determine his involvement, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is the only member of the first-team squad definitely ruled out.
After such a brilliant performance at the Emirates against Liverpool last weekend, Wenger must decide whether to stick or twist his side for the trip to Burnley. And given the current luxury of options available to the Boss, here is how we expect him to line-up his side.
With this line-up and the current form the team is in now, it is expected that the Gunners should ease past the Clarets by more than a two-goal margin. COYG!!
