Arsenal have been given hope in their bid to land sensational World Cup winning attacker.

The Express claim that Arsenal are interested in a £30million move to land Bayern Munich’s attacker Gotze after sources in Germany claim the Bundesliga giants will be looking to do business with prospective suitors.

Arsenal’s interest in the German star is not new as Arsene Wenger had been reportedly keen on signing the attacker while he was at Borussia Dortmund but failed to land his signature.

However, following growing concerns he could quit the club after failing to impress at the Allianz Arena under Pep Guardiola, Arsenal are set to reignite their interest for the 22-year-old.

Arsenal are not the only Premier League side interested in the £115,000-a-week playermaker, with Chelsea and Manchester United also in the mix. However, the later have been tipped by Dietmar Hamann to sign him as part of a swap deal involving Angel Di Maria.

“Mario Gotze is badly out of form and Bayern Munich are highly likely to sell him.” Hamann told per The Express.

“He’s not happy at the club, and the club aren’t happy with him. When that’s the case it’s better all round to have a parting of the ways.”

“Bayern will want to get back roughly what they paid for Gotze but whether anyone is willing to cop a £30m fee is another matter.”

“There has been talk of a swap with Manchester United for Angel Di Maria. Whether that is likely I don’t know, but Di Maria is the type of player Bayern need, and they have to bring in players of his calibre.”

Arsenal have money to spend this summer. However, it is left to be seen if Wenger will actually match the £30million Bayern paid for the German last summer.
