Arsenal have been reported to have agreed a deal to sign Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin in the summer.

Fresh reports according to the Daily Star claim the French midfielder could actually be heading to north London this summer; however, not to Emirates Stadium but rather White Hart Lane.

Two big sources have in recent weeks reported that Schneiderlin has already agreed a move to Arsenal in the summer.

French newspaper L’Equipe reported that the 25-year-old will leave the St Mary’s stadium at the end of the season to join the Emirates outfit.

While a similar claim via a tweet from popular transfer news breaker – The Secret Footballer, a former Premier League player who has written two books.

He tweeted  “My understanding is that they [Arsenal] have an agreement already in place with Schneiderlin.”

But fresh reports are saying otherwise with Betfair trader Michael Bowers saying;

 “Rumours have been circulating linking the 25-year-old Frenchman to almost every big club in the Premier League and Arsenal have been leading the charge in the betting, with them accounting for 70 per cent of all of bets taken.”

“But today has seen enormous support for their North London rivals and we’ve been forced to cut Spurs from 10/1 to 6/4 favourites.

“The biggest stumbling block for Spurs would be entering into a bidding war with a club like PSG at 6/1 or United who are 14/1, which might overinflate the price and force them to miss out on the midfielder.”

This news is sure to leave many Arsenal fans sweating, as the club hopes to sign the midfield general this summer after failing to land his signature in last two transfer windows, and now looks set to lose out to arch rivals Tottenham.
